Deadline

Instructions

1 For this assignment your group will create a presentation based on the explosion of societies and technology that occurred in the ancient world about 3000 - 1500 B.C.

We will do this by looking at some artifacts of those societies.

2 Each group will create a presentation - about 10 minutes long or so - for the class based on your artifact. You will need to cover the following areas about your artifact.
  1. Describe the location and the artifact.
  2. How was it found? Are there any current discussions about it? If so, what?
  3. What theories exist about how it was created?
  4. What theories exist about why it was created?
  5. What theories exist about who created it?
  6. About when was it built?
  7. What efforts are being made today to learn more about it?
  8. Summarize what you have learned about its origins and original purpose.
3 Create a two paragraph summary of your presentation. Save it to the H Drive of one of your group members. Copy and paste the summary into an email to madcat@ida.net. Be sure to include the names of all group members in the email.

Remember that we tend to apply our present meanings and interpretations to ancient artifacts. Take care to look at the original meaning attached to the artifact.
